Gas solubility is a measure of how much gas (CO2, H2S, CH4, C2H6, N2 …) can be dissolved in liquid water or in brine. Accurate calculation of gas solubility is very important in the study of fluid immiscibility, liquid-vapor equilibrium, hydrothermal boiling, ore deposit fromation, CO2 sequestration, gas hydrate, etc. It is must understood that gas solubility is a complicated function of temperature, pressure and solution compositions (Cl-, SO42-, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+). Duan and Co-workers developed a series of thermodynamic models, which accurately calculate the solubilities of various gases under various conditions. This online calculations are based on these models. If you have any questions, please write us.
